Here at WRILC besides offering our core services, we provide a wide variety of monthly programs and events. These programs are available to any of our consumers that are interested.
Also, not only are these learning opportunities, they are a great chance to socialize with others. Please contact us if you are interested, it makes a day of fun for everyone.
Some of our Events and Programs include:

Game Day - One of our most popular programs. Once a month we offer this as a fun day out to socialize with others.

Independent Living Skills - A series of classes that teach the consumer skills to become more independent. These are offered every month and are perfect for those who want to become more independent.

Peer Support Group - Group discussion about different topics related to people with disabilities. Monthly virtual support groups currently include stress/anxiety and blind/visually impaired support groups.

Technology Classes - Weekly classes available for anyone from beginner to advanced computer user. We even offer classes using the JAWS program to our blind consumers.

Emergency Preparedness Classes - Learn about being prepared for an emergency. Any agencies, senior centers, senior housing, or other community groups can call the office to schedule a speaker.

Summer Picnic - Every summer we have a picnic for all of our consumers. We celebrate the ADA and share our disability experiences.

Holiday Party - Every December we host a holiday gathering, much like our summer picnic. All of our consumers are invited to come and have a nice celebration for the upcoming holiday season.

Consumer Advocacy Team - A monthly advocacy group (C.A.T.) that meets to discuss, plan, and solve problems in the community, as well as learning to self-advocate.

Braille instruction and transcription -Individual weekly braille classes can be provided, as well as a fee-for-service transcription rate to transcribe print into braille for anyone who needs it. Consumers get a reduced rate.
